Taylor also acquired Oak Hill Cemetery Association in Gary, Indiana, where he built a mausoleum of 500 crypts. Another Taylor Funeral Home location was acquired later. In 1961, Bubela married his first wife, Arlene, and in 1975, the couple welcomed twin boys.
