After trying Charlotte Tilbury's Matte Revolution lipstick in Pillow Talk and pairing it with the Lip Cheat liner, I can totally see why these products are cult favorites. They give the effect of fuller, plumper lips and the natural rosy hue is easy to dress up or down. The lip kit has become my new go-to, especially since it holds up against eating and drinking, and I can't wait to try the Medium and Intense shades to expand my lineup. The color was consistent with the standalone version I have of this shade. It had good pigmentation with a soft, lightly waxy texture that applied fairly well to bare skin for all-over color application and was even easier to use strictly as a liner. Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Matte Revolution Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.12 oz.) is a muted, medium pink with warmer undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had medium, buildable color coverage--up to mostly opaque--with a velvety, smooth, and thin consistency that clung a bit to lips, though not in an uncomfortable, drying kind of way. I just felt like it had a tendency to emphasize my lip lines a bit as some color pulled into them. Finding the perfect pink lipstick can be a balancing act.
But, the first coat is pigmented enough that you won’t need a second. Difficult to sharpen to a fine point due to the formula and the plastic (not wood) encasing. I can only get it to a blunt point and it keeps sliding out of the encasing and falling out. Not quite the holy grail lipliner I was hoping for! But, it serves its purpose and I do wear it from time to time.

Dries down to an opaque waterproof finish very quickly, which means you need to get it right the first time. Not buildable because it’s impossible to add a second coat once it dries.
I have a tiny sample size of Pillow Talk, so perhaps there's a difference between the sample and the full size. I was so excited to get the sample, but the color is not at all what I expected. If I apply a light layer, I'd say it looks like a warm pink.
